Frequently asked questions
It is easy! You will need to find or take some photographs of your pet, email them to me and then we will discuss the best one to use to create a perfect portrait. I stay in touch with you every step of the way and you can see more about the process here as well as tips on how to take the best photo!
As each portrait takes many hours of work and I often have quite a long waiting list, it is important that you order your portrait as soon as you can. There is usually up to a two-month delay between placing your order and getting the finished portrait to you but, if you need it for a special date, I will do my best to meet your request. Find out more about the commission process here.
Yes – pastel artwork should always be framed behind glass to protect it. My prices are for unframed pieces and, if posting, I will post the portrait unframed and securely wrapped in foamboard and bubble-wrap. If you live near to me, I am happy to arrange framing for you with my reputable, local framer.
Yes – some of my original artworks have been made into beautiful A3 fine art giclee prints and are available on my Art for Sale page. The prints all cost £45 each. If you see an original work that you like, please let me know if you’d like a print and I easily can arrange this.
Not at all. I can provide all the pastels and paper you need on your visit. I also have pastels and paper for sale at each class. You might like to bring a table easel and drawing board with you but I do also have plenty of these to borrow on the day! More details about the weekly classes here.
I offer weekly classes in my local area on a pay-as-you-go basis for £20 per person and half-day private tuition from £75 per person. These are open to all abilities – from total beginner to experienced artist and a gift voucher can make a great day out for a creative loved one! I also run regular Saturday workshops where we tackle a single subject together over the course of the day. See more details on my tuition page for upcoming events.
Yes! Just get in touch with me and I am happy to discuss coming to your art group. I will bring my easel and demonstrate several pastel skills and can even arrange to provide some hands-on experience to the audience too. Use the contact form to send your enquiry.

I use an international courier service to ship outside of the UK and all my portraits are secured between foamboard sheets and bubble-wrapped to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.
